My main goal was to experience Tokyo while searching for an apartment. When I chose to stay at this ryokan, all my worries went away when I met the owner during check-in. Not only did he speak excellent English, he was also very kind and helpful. The staff, from the owner to the cleaning lady, were all friendly and open to help whenever you need something. The cleaning ladies did a great job keeping everything clean. The location is very convenient, close to the station and interesting spots in Ikebukuro. Staying here is affordable and allows you to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan.

We stayed at this lovely ryokan in Ikebukuro for a week and absolutely loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The traditional Japanese-style room with a comfortable futon was a unique experience. The building itself was clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the nice communal areas with free water and green tea. The location was perfect, with easy access to explore Tokyo and plenty of lively attractions in Ikebukuro. The coffee shop on the ground floor was a great addition, allowing us to enjoy coffee and soak in the Tokyo vibes.
